Cool Promised i wouldn't do it!!!

After i sold my last road bike about 2 months ago i swore i'd not get another one and stick to just my Rocky Mountain. within days i was missing my Colnago and found the montain bike just was too heavy for road work.

So after buying a cheap Principia from Fleabay (which lasted 1 week before i sold it on as it needed too much doing and wasn't what i was looking for) i decided to hunt out the bike i'd always wanted.

So here she is. Full Carbon fibre frame & forks. £800 worth of wheels. Ultegra groupset

Sub 17Lbs and really really flys

23mm thin tyres at the mo but some lightweight whippets can get away with 19mm.

Never thought of it as pretty but thanks all the same

Nice bike Bodski, bet it feels mega quick compared to the Rocky Mountain.

Do you know of any decent off-road riding in and around Colchester? The tougher the better!

Paul,

When I go out, we have a ride through a few woods around Daws Heath/Benfleet, last sunday (including the 3 mile walk home), I covered 23 miles, if you fancy coming out, let us know

Not really a great deal about M8, i've got a route i work round, starting in Friday woods, then going down through roman river up and across Birch lake then across to Birch post office by the football pitch. Then on road through Easthorpe and back past the sewerage works and back. Maybe 60% off road but not that technical apart from the downhill bits, or if you spend some more time working your eay through Friday woods.

Highwoods country Park is ok, although they don't like you cycling in there, as is the loop round Alton Water. Few good little off road bits round Alresfors but not reall worth the trip over unless your in the vacinity.

Still say we should have a ESC trip to Betws y coed or Coedy Brenin Now that is proper Mountain biking Not even been this year!!! I'm gettin withdrawl symptons

Have only got until sunay week until i do the london - southend ride, so am trying to get out as much as i can before then

You'll have to go easy, on my halfords special I normally average 23mph Oh no sorry, the average has a 2 and a 3 in it

I'm doing a 3000m steeplechase race tomorrow in Guldford so I may be a bit tender myself
