Thanks to Zak (Mocom)
Finally got to the bottom of my rear end noise today after taking the car into Mocom Racing.
After a few hours checking the suspension, brakes and just about everything else possible on the rear of the car, the diagnosis was the wheel!
Took the car into a local tyre shop on the way home and the locking nut of the metal valve had come adrift and was clanking away in the rim on pull away.
Perfect diagnosis Zak and well spotted in the end
It was also nice to be able to watch the F1 qualifying from inside the car (while up on ramps) undisturbed
Glad it was nothing serious or expensive in the end.
Thanks again mate

Had him stumped for a while.....next time i'll add some ball bearings to the rear silencer as well.
It was a tricky one, but at least I know he's checked the disc for warp, the calipers/pads for operation, all the rear mounts...etc....
And who else has ever heard of a valve nut dropping off inside a wheel and sounding like a coffee bean in a tin cup (but only up to 15mph)
