Pause for thought.....
It was two years yesterday that Vikki lost her brother (and i lost my best mate) so a tough day regardless - then today Vikki received a call to say her dad was in hospital - and he sadly passed away at 2pm.
She got to see him - and he her - and had time to say goodbye and tell him how much she loved him. But it made me stop and think (as these sad times always do), just how often we pass people by - and "don't get round" to seeing people and making that extra effort with friends and loved ones.
So today i realised, once again, how special friends and family are - and how much we should take that extra couple of seconds to say "i love you" and "take care" - because.... you just don't know when you'll next get that opportunity!
thanks

Thank you all very much for your words.
My Dad was a great man and a super dad - he was the first person I'd turn to for advice and will be so sorely missed.
I accept that he's gone to a better place - and is now with my brother sipping on a pint LOL.
Lots to do and get arranged - understandably my mum is in pieces - she called an ambulance because he had such intense pain in his back - she wasn't expecting for him to die just 8 hours later. It transpired he had an anuerism in a main artery and due to a weak heart and poor health in general - he would not survive the operation that would've saved most. Very Sad.
Thank you all again for your words
