Hmmmmm.....Kat D and no history?
When i had mine on sale a few months ago (52 WRX with FULL history) i was told by most in here it was worth approx 3K, how is yours worth twice the amount without any history?
Not knocking you, just asking a simple question, as i will be putting mine back up for sale soon.

Take a look at the pictures, Paul's car has had a cracking looking kit professionally fitted by ABW. The car is near immaculate, it only has 35K miles, and full sti interior. Those things easily negate the cat D and prob service history.

To me if a car has any sort of history (kat D) then it is worth steering clear from.
Thats just my opinion, was just askinjg because of the price of pauls and the price of mine.
62000 with FULL history, in WR Blue and looks stunning, and only offered 3K?

Yours with 70k miles currently lists at £4055 with 70k miles, for a good condition private sale, as the mileage is slightly lower you should get a premium for that.
Heavily Modified cars fall outside of these standard valuations for obvious reasons, the value of the mods is usually a fraction of the cost, but will add value. Paul's car is newer and a later model than yours, coupled with the very low mileage and excellent condition will add to its value. At the end of the day anything is only worth what someone else is willing to pay.
A standard Cat D repaired car will value at 20% less normal, assuming all repairs are done well.

That is true, mine is lower value due to higher mileage, but as i have already said, mine has service history which should bump the value up.
All cars should keep their value if kept in good condition, but mine seems to have LOST over 4K in a year. (paid £7995 for it)

Also on the subject of kat D, remember the mondeo ST i looked at about 3 months ago, that was a kat D and LOOKED ok, only after my mechanic friend looked all round the car did we find things VERY wrong with it!
I would say 35% off the value for a damaged/repaired car, no matter HOW good it has been done.

service history dont mean alot to some people cos that also is somethink people can just make up by stamping a book once a year, not saying alot of people do but as in the cat D situation there are alot of con artist out there. also some cars are looked after much better privately but you cant give it a service history yourself
