Default Finally Got the Clutch done... Thank XTREMES!

Just wanted to say a BIG thanks to the guys at Xtreme's!
Took my car down yesterday at 7 in the morning (!!!) and they fitted a nice new clutch for me. Also changed my flywheel too!
Clutch was pretty worn.... certainly got my use out of it!!

Also gave me a list of a few things that may need sorting soon!
Thanks Guys!!

Now......... I'm not sure if I want to sell it or not now!!

Oh well.......

Yes, I know I haven't been around for a while.... didn't know I was missed so much!
Yes, I will try to make it to the April Posers. Admittedly, I haven't been recently, due to the clutch... it was BAD and I didn't want it completely giving up on the way to or even down the seafront!!
Don't worry Wozzaa, I will grace you with my boots!!!

Well, prices start from about £495 at Xtremes, and that includes a new clutch and refurb'd flywheel. My flywheel was absolutely knackered so they couldn't get it refurb'd therefore I had to pay for a refurb'd one out right, so the total was about £600.
Totally worth it, as when I first started looking for prices I was getting quotes in the region of £1000, and was also told I HAD to have a Dual Mass flywheel, was turned out to be load of rubbish!!

Is it a Type R you are looking for then?

Yes I know Dazza. I was shocked when they said to be there at 7am!!
We dropped it off, and myself and my OH got a taxi into Chelmsford for some breakfast and a little mooch about (he NEARLY bought a fan-dan-go digi camera, but I managed to stop him!!) and car was done by about 11am!! Well chuffed!!

Well, my first quote from Mr Average Garage was £1000! I fell off my seat when he told me! Apparantly it was because my car "is" fitted with Dual Mass Flywheel (I got a quote for one and that was £400!!).
After talking to the guys at Xtremes, they said that most don't have this type of flywheel, and thankfully mine didn't!!
TBH, alot of people do think my type of Scooby is expensive to run, but honestly, it is no more expensive than your average WRX. I mean, I have std discs and red stuff pads (which you see on WRX's) and servicing is pretty much the same. Admittedly, my car is standard, and I don't drive it like it should been driven (driving miss daisy most days, until my OH gets in the drivers seat!!)
If you have the money, go for a Type R all day long!!
