Happy New Year.....I actually liked 2008
Just thought I would chuck another New year thread up but this time with a few positives
Personally I've had a great year for many reasons:
Firstly.....getting married
But also had some great times with fellow ESC members again, to name a few:
Got into Mountain biking and had some great trips out on the bikes.
Discovered power kiting and have been having some great times with that.
Had another memorable trip to Germany for the WRC.
Another great Mencap weekend.
At least 4 of our friends have had lovely babies this year (including Spally and Sarah )
So it wasn't all rosy in 2008 but far from a complete write-off....for us anyway.
Here's to 2009.....hope you all have a good one

2008 s been a very good year for be bar a couple of things.
Been promoted twice this year, now have a very well paid and secure job.
Finally bought a house, and managed to retain my other property (now rented out), a dream of mine for some time. Actively looking for a third now.
Got engaged to Jen.
Jen is 7 months through a very healthy and happy pregnancy, found out I'm having a daughter.
Was best man at both my brothers and dads wedding. Dads was in Sri Lanks so spent a week over there.
Sold the scoob, which was depressing me a bit, due to all the past problems with it. A huge weight off my shoulders.
Sorted out a few other issues I had going on
Paid off a hell of a lot of debt.
Bring on 2009, hopefully more good stuff to come.

Cheers Fozzie for putting up a positive thread.
There have been some trials and tribulations in 2008, but generally we to have had a good year.
And yes, there are bound to be some tougher times in 2009, but again I am looking forward to the challenges.
Happy New year All

My year started at a very low point and then I was flooded out of my other flat, not forgetting a PITA of an Ex causing nothing but aggravation.
Thanks to a few very good friends (some on here and you know who you are) they helped me when I needed it most.
I've moved to a great little place. Been to not 1 but 2 WRC events and Germany was such a great week which I'll never forget.
My Business has grown steadily moving from strength to strength and I expect that growth to continue in 2009.
That little lot would be enough for one year but then I met Sam at Tunnel Run V. What a cherry on the cake. She rocks my little world thanks Hun
As such I think I can take a lot from 2008. The highs far outweigh the lows.
Together Sam & I can't wait to face 2009. Both of us are really looking forward to travelling Route 66 later in the year.
I'm sure I'll have a few hiccups along the way, I wouldnt be me without them
but if any of you find half the joy I have I know you will be well pleased.
Good luck everyone for 2009

I suppose this year has had its ups and downs, especially in the construction industry. So, towards the end of the year I decided to bite the bullit and*started to look for a new job. Leaving the family business is going to be hard but think I have made the right decision. I start my new job next Monday working in the Petrochemical Industry, which is where I first started when I left college. Hopefully 2009 will be more settled, less stressful and prove I made the right decision........lets wait and see. Best wishes to everyone for 2009.

Well, my 2008 proved to be a very surprising GOOD year!
After a rocky end to 2007, and pretty much having to restart EVERYTHING in my life.. job, move back with parents etc... 2008 ended VERY well....
My first niece was born in Dec 07, so 2008 has been over taken by watching her grow into a little person, with a FAB character!
My partner and I have been together for a year now, and he is AB FAB!
Went on a gorgeous week away with OH (first foreign holiday, in a HOT climate for a good 10 years!) which was amazing!
Agility Training with Cadbury (the crazy hound) has been getting better and better, with us winning our first Agility Show.... watch this space for more!!
Finally living my childhood dream, and becoming a horse owner! So expensive... but SO worth all the fun it brings!
And finally... not forgetting that for the first time in at least 5 years, I have been able to spend all my Christmas & New Years celebrations with a true caring gentleman who I love dearly, and who makes me feel loved! I look forward to many more in the future!!
Here's to a GREAT 2009!!

well 2008 for me couldnt really have gone much better.
Done really well at work, bonuses etc.
Firstly engaged to my wonderful other half in February (i think he he)
Then our wonderful son was born in August.
Apart from these have had also some great times with ESC, no matter if it be in a car, a pub or a field
Roll on 2009
