What a night!
Just got back from the hospital! My stepson James was involved in a car crash tonight, so we took him to be checked over.
James was in his car, following a mate when they came upto a car parked opposite a junction with it's hazard lights on. James's mate over took the car and just as James was about to overtake (clear road ahead), the car suddenly pulled out and turned into the junction(with the hazard lights still on). James hit the car at about 30mph, andwith the resulting crash, the car he hit, hit the kerb and rolled over.
The police took statements and decided that it's now down to the insurance companies to argue who's at fault
When I done my bike test last year, it was drummed into us that parking opposite a junction is a big no no, and if we done that in the test, it's an instant fail, so in my thinking, hopefully James won't be at fault!
Either way, the insurance company would declare his car uneconomical to repair (a T reg Corsa) So I'm taking tomorrow off to see what damage is done and if it is repairable.
Thanks goes to ABW Dal for his advice regarding bodywork! so hopefully it can be sorted.
Just a pain that this is going to take funking ages to sort out

I hope James is well.
At the end of the day, the car is a steel box, if it can be repaired- great- if not oh well.
I am just glad he wasn't on a bike :~

Thanks for all your concerns!
I did want to take the day off but there was no one to do the deliveries, so I had to do them. Just got back and now going to have a look at the car, hopefully the chassis rails are in tact so it can be repaired.
