I'm also having to have 2 attempts to post replies
Something needs rebooting me thinks.

matt, i'll guarantee that a 1gb to 2gb increase will not make your pc faster.

might need a clean rebuild, or a damn good de-cluttering

i would buy another hard drive and reinstall the operating system, if it's that bad, and use your old hard drive as a secondary drive.

prolly about £40 for the drive nowadays!!

i was thinking of wiping it and starting again but only thing putting me off is that some of the programmes that i've got on there, i can no longer find the discs and passkeys for

would they still work if i got say an external hd, moved them over and then wiped the internal hd and reloaded it?

If they are multiple page threads click on an actual page number rather than main thread title, that seems to work a bit better
