Me & My Family are going away.. soon on a CAMPING WEEKEND..

& We have been lent a friends People Carrier,
as hireing a car was (£150+)

Have asked my insurer can i insure it
& they have said no as its in his name..

His insurance wont let him add me to his policy as he already has 2 cars & 2 named drivers & this people carrier stays in garage untill its needed & then gets insured (as its cheaper for him??)

He has also told me many of his friends have used it before & they have insured it.. via there insurance.

Can anyone help me on this MATTER..
as going away in 2weeks..

Take out a short-term policy, plenty of companies that can insure you on a car for up to 28 days.

thank you i will check them sites out.

Parked near the DOME & was watched my the POLICE/SECURETY & was told to move every 10 seconds, But i wanted the pic so didnt goo anywhere

if you insure it yourself you technically won't be insured and you may invalidate his insurance as 2 people can't seperately insure the same car at the same time.

speak to moley. sure he'll confirm this.

worth checking to see if your policy covers you to drive other cars with the owners permission though. ownly downside is you'll only be covered 3rd party.

he DOES NOT insure the people carrier UNTILL he wants to use it..
(e.g when he goes on holiday)

So when i want it it wont be insured by anyone..

P.S have spoken to MOLEY..
& he has come up trumps again..
