Default ESC to the Richard Burns Memorial Rally 13/14th September.

Come and support Aaron & Jon (JK) from Kent in a Mocom prepared Impreza and see a host of rally cars inc, 6R4's, Quattro's and a few WRC's and Markko Martin driving a 2008 Impreza WRC.

Event Details Here

Tickets Here

No tickets for sale on the gate, all must be bought in advance.

Not sure of exact location yet, but it's near Kings Lynn, Norfolk.

Jon advises that Saturday would be the better day to see the most cars, but I may try to get there both days.

It looks like gates open at 7am until 3pm , has anyone any idea about what time the action starts? , looks like it could be an early start getting up there

SWRT are supposed to be doing some sort of demonstration of the 2008 car at 9am

I dont think the first stage starts until nearer 12 midday though.

We have to be there early to get through scrutineering /noise etc. Processing 150 cars will take a good few hours, so you may well get access to the service area to see the cars??

I wont get the final regs until 1 week before the event , so can only second guess what happens compared to the other events we do?

Now you tell me.

Mind you, there's no way I'd be there for 7:00am, it's over 2 hours from me.

Unhappy Major problem!!

Well im sorry to announce that whilst taking the car to MOCOM on friday, the gearbox decided to break on the rally car!

We stripped the box out yesterday and and took it apart to discover that the problem is a broken input shaft...

As this is a specialist gearbox, there are only a few places that can repair it for us. A new input shaft costs somewhere in the region of £700 plus labour. Add that to the price of tyres, trailer hire, fuel, and overnight stays etc, both of us have decided that cost and time are not on our side to enable us to get the car ready for next weekend.

Im sure that anyone going will still have a great time and im sure you will understand our problems.

cheers mark,

you will get to see us some time....honest.

We are both really gutted, it would have been a good event to benchmark how good the car and us are as a package against some top teams.

sorry to all those making the effort..

jon
