Can I propose a trip??
I hope I`m not treading on anyones toes and if I am please delete this and accept my apologies........
Nikola and I enjoyed Saturday so much, we would like to do it again. So we wondered if anyone would like to do a booze run/lunch/Christmas shopping type thing on the last few weekends before Christmas? 6th December is a posers cruise and the dates after that are possibly too close to Christmas, so what about Saturday 29th November? Just checked prices and they are the same.

Of course you're not "treading on toes". This club is all about different members coming up with ideas and organising days out.
Excellent idea
Maybe leave just a little bit later though. Still from Saturday.

I've had a look at Eurotunnel and to go on 29th November, going out at 8.42am out and coming back at 19.20 it £59.
As its going to be more than likely cold I thought that the later start would suit peeps more??? Means we would have to meet at Thurrock at 6.30am for a 7am depart???
That should give us plenty of time to have lunch, a little jolly around, doesn't have to be Le T, can be somewhere else?? and then hit the hypermarkets to fill up with booze for Christmas.
Has anyone else got any suggestions for dates or ideas?? Ade maybe??

I don`t know if people want to stick with Le Touquet or fancy a change? Dunkerque is about 30 miles north of Calais and seems to offer shopping facilities and food. We`re quite happy to do whatever, just an idea. Not done much in France so quite happy to take others peoples lead.
Dunkerque Shopping Markets
Shopping in Dunkerque is easy, practical and pleasant!
First of all there are 400 shops in the town centre, which has recently been entirely renovated.
The city's best shopping areas are Boulevard Alexandre III, rue Clemenceau, Boulevard Sainte Barbe and Rue Nationale.
The Pôle Marine - a new shopping mall on Place du Minck, houses a cinema complex and restaurants.
The Marine shopping centre offers clothing and perfume shops, a supermarket.
Malo les bains:
The Dunkirk seaside resort has 150 shops. Outdoor markets are held every Saturday and Wednesday at Place du General de Gaulle and every Tuesday morning at Place Turenne.

Great, is everyone happy with the proposed times??? Don't want to leave it too long as I'm sure that the train is going to get busy that time of year.
We can sort out where to go nearer the time, its nice to have ideas though
