Porsche GB Summer BBQ
Went along to the summer bbq at chelmsford yesterday for a quick peek at the fellow flat 4 boxers.
This really is a great event. They throw open their doors to a number of car clubs and throw on a bbq and some live music.
From memory there were all manner of Porsches, Ferrari's, TVR's, Lotus', 1 EVO X, an AC Cobra, some new and very very old Jaguars, some classic maserati's, some Triumph TR4/5/6 & a 7 and even a stand representing the ESC (and even an MSOC member)
Like last year we turned up uninvited and were made to feel completely at home, were given a prime spot at the top of a bank highly visible to everyone.
We wandered off and looked back and there was a regular queue of people looking at our cars.
Thanks to Flat Eric, BeeSTi and especially Budgie, Jackie & Tom for making the trip all the way over. Flat Eric was seen dangerously close to the EVO X at one point even sitting inside
Loved the kids coming running over when BeeSTi arrived telling him how much they loved his car, loved even more Budgie driving off with the anti-lag accidentally switched on
This venue would be ideal for the Subaru/Ford idea you were thinking of
I don't have pics but think that Flat Eric might.

Oh yeah, I've now had a chat with the organiser and he was delighted that we made the effort to go along and loved our cars (no classics cheapening the place )
Next year won't be a problem with us turning up in full ESC force
