Well after my recent posts regarding power and response I decided to do something about it.
I had a drive in a 2.5 Sti PPP and loved it but just couldn`t get the 6 gears. I didn`t find it as I had imagined, maybe bigged it up too much in my mind beforehand and was a little disappointed with the actual thing. So I then test drove a Evo 9 FQ340 and was totally blown away. I found it to be everything that I thought the Sti should of been.
This is more down to individual preferences I think but fell in love with it and made an offer.... and the deal was done.
The dealers I bought the Wrx from are also selling me the Evo and have given me what I feel is a good deal, especially as the WRX has lost £4k since I bought it last year and looking at private sales they don`t seem to move to quickly and for about £1-1.5k more than I got in trade in but that has been recouped in the dicount they gave me on the Evo. dunno if that makes sense but I`m
The sad thing is I really love the Scooby but it just didnt quite tick all the boxes, otherwise I wouldn`t have started looking.
So does that mean I can still come to France?

Thanks for the replies gents, this is by far the best forum/club about and I`d be well happy to stick around.
Maybe I`ll have to ask Slim to do me a new pink shirt with EEC ( Essex Evo Club) instead of ESC

Great choice buddy, i absolutely love Evos. At least you did the sensible thing and drove both cars before making an obviously clear and just decision.
Be sure to bring it to some meets, im always up for gandering round an Evo...
Maybe even swap to the dark side myself one day

Cheers for that Mark, looks like an automotive come on if ever I saw one but whats interesting is that it comes from Gates. One of my more regular drops is to a Mr Gates and I`ve always associated the two but now that I have a common interest I might just have to drop it into conversation next time I see him!!!..........I`ll probably end up in a KA doing slalom training around supermarket trollies at Tescos .....but even that could be fun

The best of it is that Jess would have had to take a test drive in a IX MR 366/363 to be in the draw.
Slight problem. She has never driven in her life.
I wonder how long into the drive before the sales guy would have noticed.
