Shafted by o2. Need a new phone.
Been shafted by o2. cut a very long story short, i upgraded last year and they f***ed it up and put it on an old account that i was no longer using. got a bill through the door yesterday for £150ish for termination of contract fees.
Customer services are saying the shop where i arranged the upgrade need to sort it and the shop are saying customer services need to sort it. but neither want to do anything for me.
i think a call to the c.a.b and a letter cc'd to watchdog is in order.
so i no longer wish to keep my current contract with them and am looking for a new phone. please can you let me know how you find the reception on other networks around essex. i've been with o2 for so long the last time i was with anyone else it was when their coverage of the uk was shown on map!

I'm on T Mobile as well - can't say I have had any problems with the reception anywhere apart from a weak signal once when I was in a valley in the Yorkshire Dales last year!

Been with Orange and Vodafone and both good. We had problems with O2 many years ago and a few choice letters to customer services, and we even got money back from them!! Stick with it mate and hope you get it sorted.

I think you should persivere with O2 as starting new contract credibility seems such a shame.
if you are not able to get satisfaction from O2 i have been with T Mobile since the very begining and before that one2one and have never had any reception problems until I moved to where I live now in Lancashire but I am in a Valley...am with 02 now as they offered me the best deal
