Default Advice needed for exhaust choice...

I will be completely changing my exhaust system from turbo back shortly, as I need a 3 inch system, now the idea is the get the car properly track ready by the end of the year ready for 2009. Now what is a noise level that would still sound nice and loud but allow me access to any track?

The 3" Revolution cat back system gives a nice sound, works well and will be fine with db limits. The system is made by Jetex.

There was a group buy on here a while ago, or Mocom stock/supply them.

Does anyone know the actual Db level I would need to stay under to be safe?

Yeah I know its gonna cost me, but I would rather buy once and be done with it.

Not sure I fancy one of those diesel style back boxs though

Turbo back 3" APS is always a good choice Cookie, should come in under most DB Limits. Quality bit of kit without having to pay silly custom made prices

Lowest dB limit in the UK is bedford and thats 87.5dB drive by WOT.
Most other tracks are around the 95dB limit although still do noisey days but you'll pay more and there are fewer of them.

The Nurburgring is now a strict zero tolerance 95dB static.

If you dont want the cost of a custom system id go with YVM and the Revolution system.

Oh and BTW, you dont need a bent down outlet like mine. I wanted it that way.

yeah they can tailor your needs. It was only on my brothers astra, but the first system they did was too loud so they took it back off and played around until the exhaust note was a lot quieter.
