Default Detailing day for Zak

Thought you guys may be interested to have a quick look at what is possible to get done in a day while detailing. With a few more details (or even just regular washing ) it'll get even better.

When I arrived, this is what greated me :

As you can see Zak's been so busy at work he hadn't had time to clean his car. So this was where I come in.

After a good few hours worth of work it ended up looking like this :

Think you've got to agree that now it's white again and with the time attack graphics on it looks much better.

Matt.

Fantastic job Matt. It will be my job next Sunday moring, but now youve done all the hard stuff, i'll be okay.

That car looks so awesome when its clean but that seems to happen once every lunar eclipse. Theres no getting around it, Zaks car is dirty all tghe time because he'd rather drive it than clean it. Not to mention the lack of time.

PC and wax?

Did you clay it too?

Yes Pete i believe that he is , Well @ least for the 1st round anyway , I think it will be driven to Donnington with Passenger & baby on board , Baby seat removed, wheels tyres changed , Kicked the granny out of it all day & then seat back in , Wheels back on & driven home !!

Zac iirc has another car ( One of those old classic things ) But has not had the time to get it prepared for TA, To busy sorting all our cars out

Im sure the STI 9 Will not be no slouch after what i see @ Brands hatch recently

cheers frayz apart from a few stone chips the paint was in pretty good nick. mainly because of the lack of washing.

I'll be there next sunday so can give you a hand if needed.

Started off by jetting it with plain water to remove the loose stuff, then foamed the car which didn't have much effect. so i foamed the car all over with pb bug squash. this helped to break down the dirt. car was then rinsed and re foamed.

after a short soak i used 2 bucket method and rinsed after. Next was spray the car with a strong tar a glue remover. after a 5 min soak i wiped off with an mf cloth. this seemed to get rid of the rest of the tar. after a rinse i clayed the car using mothers qd and megs aggressive clay. next rinsed and foamed again and another 2 bucket wash.

once dried it was onto the pc. after the graphics were applied i sealed the car with poorboys ex-p for longer lasting protection. with a few more layers it should make life a lot easier for him.

Default Awesome result

I see how dirty Zaks car was when he was doing my gearbox & I did try & jet some of the dirt off it but it made no difference

It really looks good now
Top job.
