HELP!! How do you find details about a car using it's registration?? Nate??
Guys,
I'm trying to locate, or find ANY information about one of my old cars, I have the registration and year of manufacture.
I've serached Autotrader and it show's it was last bought in 2004, but searched everywhere and can't find anymore info for it!
I remember Nate posting a website to locate cars via their number plates, can anyone give me a website???
All I want to know is if it's still on the road, where abouts it's located and any extra info possible!!!
It's a 1974 Series III short wheelbase Land Rover, RFW 465M, I know some people think I'm sad going on about Land Rover's but I really fancy buying it back............
OR, if it's been "put down" already, then my Dad's 1962 Series IIA short wheelbase Land Rover, 811 EMO (Autotrader search found nothing on this one! ).
My parents have been going through a personal hell just lately and when ever I chat to them, they both bring up how much fun we all had in these cars, and I've been thinking about getting one for a while so it all just seemed to fall into place!
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Cheers
Ross

And before you ask, the answer is "No, sorry"
Have you thought about getting in touch the the Landie Owners Club? Seeing as they're both pretty old, someone may have a database

Thanks very much guys, thats really helpful
I might have to 'bump' into it soon
I can't find a thing about EMO, it's not on the DVLA or insurance website's.
If I can get the owners details and they are willing to sell, then I'm seriously thinking of buying either one.
Thanks again guys, will let you know how it goes

I'm thinking of emailing some of the magazines and hope the message gets to someone in the know, that's if I get no joy with the DVLA.
If that doesn't work then I could look at others, but I know these particular Landy's would mean alot to the olds, so won't give up on them.

Ross,
Just had a though. Practical Classics magazine do a thing called "Cars Reunited" for this sort of thing. That maybe an option too
Practical Classics magazine | Practicalclassics.co.uk
BTW, the answer is still "No"
