they've been around since 3g networks, just becoming more affordable and a great deal quicker.
ok for browsing the web, but not really up to constant downloads. There is also a "fair usage" policy on most networks, which means they can reduce your download rate as and when!!! - worth reading the small print first, thats all..
i personally like being "out of contact" in my job, from time to time. allows me to switch off for a bit, so to speak!!!
