Question May seem a stupid question

But in my scoob on the dash where the light adjusters are and the washers for the lights, just above the radio is a button that says "bright" on it.

Now upon pressing it the only thing i see what happens is the digital clock in the dash goes darker.

Can any shed some light on what this button actually does or is that it??

Bit pointless otherwise havng it.

Rob you are not the only one to be thinking it's pointless. Over 40 posts about the very same "Bright Switch" here :-
