impreza bright button
what a complete waste of a switch
whats all that about - it makes the clock a bit brighter
which jap genious came up with that waste of dashboard space??
it could have been something useful like a central locking switch or a james bond rocket launcher thing

It's funny you should mention that, I was just thinking this afternoon , what a stupid idea, it could have been wired into the light circuit to dim automatically.
But the japs do like their gadgets, even if it's only a switch

After reading the manual i realised what youve you just said bloody useless if you ask me too, my mates have asked what it does, and i hate showing them its purpose cos they just laff and take the pi*s
Why is it so big and in such an important place too oh well, its a crackin car so i dont mind too much, made me lol reading this tho

Ah, I tell people its for the Turbo, it introduces whats known as the extra power...
Bright is a translation for Faster in Japan, they put bright cause no one can read jap writing !
They press it I push down a bit on the go faster peddle, tell them it only works well at 160+
Which of course my car can't reach

I've got the bright switch on the stalk as well in my FXT. I've also got bright marked on the same button that turns automatic climate control off - it's got off at the bottom, with Bright marked next to it...
Just seems a bit funny for anything to do with lights to be on the same button as climate control... Have to look in the manual I suppose...

I've used it a couple of times. But still have to say what a complete waste of a button.
You have to bare in mind that I where a watch on my left wrist (like most men do), It would of been easier to turn my arm rather than take my hand of the wheel, reach over, flick the switch and then look at the cheap looking digital clock on the dash!!!

Also we seem to have the only car on the planet that has a button to turn the lights on when the ignition is turned off
Anyways, still love my Scoob to bits

I've got a 6 position dimmer switch for my red dials on my JDM!
I know what you mean though re that silly switch on UK/Euro cars being pointless, that's one of many reasons I'll never buy a 'UK spec' car again.
