Thumbs up Big Thank You to MNeame - Horizon Detailing

My car is finally back from Mocom, but after having the graphics removed, and then waiting around Mocom's workshop and yard for over eight weeks the car looked in a pretty sorry state, see below,

Before:

Filthy, plus outline of the graphics showing + adhesive residue!

But after a days hard work.....

1. wash, intensive tar removal, P21 cleaner, then clay bar - had the free of residue, old wax, and contaminates, but still looked a little sad.

2. tape up the trim, (it rained on Sat, hence the gazibo!).

3. then polish the car, first 2 passes with a medium polish, then 1 with a final polish, followed by JEFFS Werkstatt Prime Acrylic, then topped off with JEFFS Werkstatt Acrylic Jett Trigger

Apparently i need to put some more layers of Acrylic Jett Trigger, but I am really please with the results, cheers Matt

Matt also did a friends BMW635 last week, and he was so pleased he is getting Matt to do his F348 next week!

OK - I'll take my hat off to anyone who is actually willing to spend that long cleaning a car - I can't help it if I find that level of dedication totally gobsmacking.. the world could collapse into a black hole before I would spend that long on cleaning anything, let alone a car!......... Sorry!

i can see us bufty boys need to teach you the ways of car care the idea is you spend that long once and then every time after that is quicker and easier. get your cleaning routine in order and it makes it easier. or get someone to put it on a maintenance plan and let them do it

Yes you read that right, i spent a whole week detailing

11 hours is about right for a full correction,. thats not a full detail as Matt said, thats just correction!!!

To give you an idea what I'm like - some time ago Frayz posted up a picture of a "squirty thing" that you could get from B&Q - the idea being that you could fill it up with water and spray it on your car to clean it - no idea how long ago that was, but it was a while back - I enthusiastically went out and got one, along with two buckets (not clear ones though - didn't have them) and some sponges all motivated up to actually wash the car (my red WRX at that time) - they are still in their boxes in the spare room where I put them once I got them home.... unused......... getting dusty........ in fact I now use the buckets as storage for magazines.......... The "squirty thing" is now buried under loads of other boxes, so might even be broken for all I know

I totally admit that when it comes to cleaning a car (any car, not just Scoobies) I am the most unmotivated person around - that's why I use the local Bosnian wash who at least use seperate mitts for the all the bits and pieces........ I know that will horrify Frayz, but I'd rather them do it than me.... they actually do quite a good job....... but I don't expect anyone to believe me on that!

Told you I was bad - that's why I find it so "amazing" (tactful choice of words) that anyone would be willing to spend as long as they do cleaning a car........ it's just not for me, sorry!

That's them, ask for John.

They have now done two sets of mine, a set of RB5 speedlines - black with a clear flake top and a set of P1 OZ's in gloss Black.
