The Scoob is no more, a guy came over and had a look, was very impressed with the spec, especially as it's been sensibly modified and it hasn't just had the boost whacked up by a boost controller.
He was surprised at the amount of torque on tap and he's bought it!
PX'd it for a nice looking red Mk2 VW Golf GTI

Been in Maddog's and his son's VR6 GTI and was quite impressed!
In short, I really did want to go back to old Skool, preferably with a Mk1 Escort, can't wait!! Already called Moley earlier and as usual, got a cracking deal!
The pain of losing the scoob has eased a little with the GTI, but I'm sorely going to miss the burble with the pops and bangs.
Wonder how well it'll flame MARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Made too many good friends to completely walk away mate, and this isn't the last Scoob I'm going to own
I'm really gutted that I had to sell her, but I desperately need the money and it's been playing on my mind heavily recently, which I'm sorry to say had made me really snappy towards some people, for which I sincerely apologise for.
Selling the Scoob wasn't an easy choice, but in the long run, it's for the better. My finances will be a hell of a lot better, so I can save up for the STIv9 (in crystal grey )

Ed, you're right - it is a huge relief that it's sold, I hate selling cars and the hassle that goes with it
First thing thats going to be done is a major bufty session with Auto Glym - if the weather improves soon!!

The Scoob has now gone, the guy (Ricky) who bought it is from Harlow, so expect him at the meets, really nice bloke. He's registered on here today so he'll be along sooner or later

Only problem is that where it's been kept nicely polished, the paint on the bonnet folds are worn away showing the primer, so I thinks it's a trip to ABW to have it resprayed.
I've had 2 people who wants to buy it already!!!!
Few jobs I want to do:
respray door shuts as there's a touch of surface rust, sort it before it becomes major.
Find some original centre caps for the alloys
Clean/polish/colour code the engine bay
Rear wash wipe don't work
Radio wiring needs to be looked at
All easy stuff to sort out

I also had some geezer trying to buy it a few weeks ago. Trouble is he made the offer as we drove along the A12
