Default A horrible burning smell from the car

Over the last couple of days I have noticed a strange burning smell coming from car, mainly when pulling away hard, reversing up my drive and sitting in traffic like last night in Southend. I am guessing it is the clutch, but want to ask just in case it could be something more serious?
Also, last night it developed a squeal on the rear brakes, so i am guessing the pads are getting near to the end too.....I suppose I should book it into Extreme as it is due a service soon too. Could be an expensive month as we fly out on holiday in 2 weeks

last i know i paid £650. for an uprated clutch and lightened fly wheel @ Extremes, but that was well over a year ago. Give them a ring, they can give you the proper price

Also,I know its good to look around mate and get quotes, but then mine is a classic facelift, so yours may be a different price.

I went on flea bay and bought a exedy clutch 3 peice set for £125. had it fitted for £200 and its absolutely fine mate.....its seeing my wagon pop over the 300bhp,

If you want mate, pop over to mine and I'll check it out, but as already been said, it sounds like your clutch
