Default Holiday advice.....

Been told I need to book a week vacation "somewhere hot" 13th-20th May....

Been hitting the net but really didn't want to do the usual Costa Del Sol thing again.... but will do if I can't find something quick.

Anyone know a someone with "connections" in the travel biz? Or does anyone have a villa with an Infinity pool their not using?

Cheers BB

P.S. oh and trying to avoid re-mortgaging my house would be cool

I just come back of holiday 1 week in gran canaria (ALL INCLUSIVE) not in a hotel but in a bunglow with own garden and shared pool and it was in the 29-30 everyday so it was "hot hot hot" for £240 each and that was through ICELOLLY.COM

Give them a try

loopy needs a bit more notice unfortunately...

if i was you, i'd head over to the south of france (nice) hire a car, and cruise about between 2 star hotels (which are very nice) about 60e for a couple per night inc breakkie...

roads are wonderful, food is exceptional (wherever you eat) and people are very friendly.

we'll be going soon!!!!

That must have been a rare sighting.

Those PIAA wiper blades are VERY scarce.

Colchester Zoo has them listed as an endangered species.

Ah ah
only just saw this

just so you know I work for a japanese tour operator, I basically arrange hotel accommodation in Europe for Japanese people !

I see Dazza is recommending my home, if you consider this destination, we can tell you where we usually go and enjoy ourselves (rural France not far from the Med etc)

Otherwise Spain is still a top destination along with Eastern Europe (Croatia for example is nice , sunny and by the beach).
Personnally I like Portugal a lot... less than 3 hours flight

Hope this helps ! Loopy

My advice is dont use lastminute.com or travelbargains.com !

Booked a family holiday for next week to gran canaria about a month ago through lastminute but they passed it onto travelbargains

Last week the wife was having some problems with the baby and the doctor didnt think it was a good idea she flew, so i decided to call travel bargains last Thursday to find out much we would lose if we cancelled,

Phoned a few times and it kept ringing and ringing so i decided to email them ( four infact) and still no replys today! (over one week)

Called lastminute yesterday and after a hour and a half on hold they said it's nothing todo with them anymore i need to contact travelbargains.... so i explained they don't answer the phone ...so they said they will contact them and get back to me within 2hrs.. and have they? bunch of bankers!! Take ur money then they dont care!

Im sure many people wouldn't have had any problems with them but i wont use them again!

Gran Canaria (as posted above) is a good choice, will be lovely and hot.

I'd highly recomment the 'Liberty Apartments' in Playa Del Ingles (is away from the busy nightlife, but close to shops/beach etc)

I did this a few years back, started in Spa for the F1 GP then drove down to the South of France. Started in Marseille, then travelled all the way to Monaco using the coast roads. Had a great few days down there, weather was good, food was fantastic. I wish I had the scoob then, the roads are awesome. On the way home from Monaco (I was in my Renault 19 16v) I was cruising at about 95/100 (kph) when I saw some headlights appearing very fast in my rear view mirror, I then saw a Ferrari and Porsche go flying past me as though I was standing still, next thing a Lambo went past and had the cheek to flash them to move over! Monaco is some place!!
