Default Day at the GeeGees / Dogs?

After reading about the flutter that'll be going on at ESC HQ, it got me thinking of a different kind of flutter.

Does anyone fancy a day at the races or a night at the dogs? Normally a good laugh for not a lot of money. Unless you really like your betting that is

Let me know if you're interested and i'll look into packages for both and come back with some prices. Should be able to sort something out that includes some grub and a beverage or 2.

Matt.

There is a dog track here in Harlow - not been to it myself, but heard from others that it is OK if that's of interest?

I had a chat a while ago with Tiny about doing a night at the dogs, I was going to put a thread up soon, but you have beat me to it, which isn't a bad thing, cos I am so busy at the moment with baby and work. Well done Matt look forward to putting my name down when you get a date.................by the way Phil and Tiny said to me that Romford isn't fantastic, there is another one better than that but I can't remember what it is called but I am sure Phil or Tiny will let you know if need be.

Just write the name of the dog you want to bet on and hand in your money, lol

Right guys n gals:

Walthamstow dogs any saturday in may is the earliest we can get, due to numbers: £19. includes admission, 3 course meal and race card. Parking iirc is £1. The carpark is manned all evening and i've always been happy to leave my car there.

We need to be quick or we'll be looking at later on in the year.

The Meal package isn't bad

But I think IMHO just going there is a great laugh and doesn't take as much time to organise and is a lot cheaper

The food counters are pretty good and resonable

Will go with the flow though

Have been to Walthamstow with the meal and without, I thought the night without the meal was better and easier. Sitting and eating got in the way IMO.

I worked at Walthamstow when I was a boy

Without a sitdown meal is much better-

They do scampi in a basket and chips/ burgers etc

Plus if the weather's good you wanna be outside.

Just my two-pence
