Thanks EmEm. Good luck to you too.
We also did it last year (slowly aswell). Samara was only 10 at the time and did really well considering the blistering heat!
It is for such a great cause and the atmosphere last year was electric.

Think this is very harsh, as did this last year and raised over 700 pounds for this.
They also went to a hell of a lot of trouble puting CD's, DVD's, beauty night, ect together to help us raise more.
Im sure the guys on here will donate at some point before the date. but with this post your not helping by slagging us off for not donating. plz give it time.
we also raise money for other charities too so are very busy with this.

Mrs ESC,
Apologies for sounding so harsh, after re-reading this post it does look like it.

Have you asked anyone else on other sites, or friends and family???
When we did this last year we ask people when we saw them and we put effort into doing other things aswell. its not just about posting up on SN and waiting. It takes a while. took us from February to collect the sponsors the run was in June and we were still collecting the monies in in October/november.
Just a little advice

The girls have already done the race for life 2006 and we have/are putting effort into raising funds in other ways too. I can't even imagine -C`chelle and Samara just putting up a post on S/N and waiting.
I thought I would put up the post as I AM VERY PROUD OF THEM BOTH.
I hope the girls reach their target of £150, trying to beat last years target of £100.
This will be a very trying and painful thing for -C`chelle to do, as she has a degenerative bone disorder which makes walking, let alone running very painful, and I am very proud she is willing to put up with having a week of pain afterwards to try and raise money for other people.
As stated before, I was disappointed in the reaction of members, as 100+ people had viewed the thread, but only Spally and EmEm had some positive reaction to it. So far, there hasn't been any other good wishes by other members, and that is the bit that hurt.
Mrs ESC, you have PM

have looked at the sponsors you had last night, and can see that you only have a couple. Have also seen that you are a mod' on MOTORMEET and as far as i could see you havent post a thread in there yet, which would be a good idea.
As i have said before myself, my mum and 2 friend Sandra Delia and Sandras daughter Kayla did this last year in memory of Sandras mum and delias mum.
we raised Over £700 for this and it took a while to do.
This is a great thing for women to do.
Good luck to the girls doing this and I'm sure you will get lots of sponsors.
I have problems with my feet as have fallen arches and have regular injections in the heels of my feet to stop the pain. so i can do my job. (post lady)
Hope you get loads of sponsor and raise loads of money too.
MRS ESC.

Thank you mrs_b4 for your kind wishes.
Andy posted whilst in a very raw emotional state yesterday, to which he has apologized and I hope that none of this is going to leave any ill feelings. I now hope this matter will be closed, and the thread allowed to carry on with the subject it was meant for in the first place.
As you rightly say, it is a very moving and emotional day and we felt humble to be able to take part and help contribute to such a worthy cause.
