Default Had the fright of my life tonight

My flamer has been playing up of late, and when it does work it is a bit lame.

But tonight it came back in force, so i sat there popping some flames out while stationary, in a row of cars.

Then my heart sank, blue flashing lights right in my rear view, thats it i though "im nicked"

And then all of a sudden like magic, the police car just dissapeared, and in its place was just another scoob.

It took a good ten mins for my heart rate to get back to safe levels

Ak yourself how you feel when that happens and you cant switch the flamer off because there is no switch.

I had it in the cossie and got a producer along with a vehicle defect notice lol

Depend what type of flame you want, if you want a longer lasting trickling flame then rev to about 5500/6000 rpm then just let revs settle to idle.

If you want to pop a huge flameball out as above but just before the revs drop to idle give the throttle a little blip.

Did you have full decat and VTA on your RA

Mines the same will never flame when stationary no matter what i do but give it some revs for a while when moving and let the turbo get a bit hotter and way hay flames

Most classics, won't flame etc when at a stand still, there is something in the mapping which stops the car from producing excessive boost an over fueling whilst the car isn't moving.
So unless they have an aftermarket or are a very late edition Classic they just wont d0 it

I know the Catalunya's do flame at a stand still... one of the few.

if it's decated and you have a VTA dumpvalve, it'll flame on the move, so nothing to loose really, not sure wen they changed the ECU's

if you've got the kit already you've not got to outlay anything
