but i do need a switch.. i remember cornie used to use those nice switches that fit perfect.Need it to turn my bullet cam on and off

I can't stand badly fitting/fitted switches, as a rule, if I'm not happy to use something on my own car, I won't put it on anyone elses car!

can i ask how these work ?
Do they damage the Back box ?
