I'd be very interested if someone wants to experiment with a car that has a sports cat.
I could even lend my car as a guinnie pig if you just want to try it by fitting a back box with the plug already in there (rather than making a hole in mine just to find out it doesn't work )

Easier said then done, would still have to install all of the kit into your car to be able to test it ( run a 12v live wire from the front to the boot, and install the coil pack and controller in the boot.
Plus would have to find someone with the same or similar exhaust setup, who has a flamer installed, and who's happy for us to borrow their BB for the test...

What model do you have?
what exhaust system?

Good idea if we can get over those hurdles though

May take you up on this offer Steve, would be nice once and for all to find out if the sports cats are good to flame... I suspect we'll get a slightly subdued flame...

Also see how quiet your BB is when cats are in the system and on a standard header

The wiring stuff wont be a problem... I'll sort it to run from the cigarette lighter for test purposes

Now just need a local member wth sports cats, who's car we an use...

No problem to use mine as a tester Mark. Prodrive Sports Cat, de-res centre and Forge DV so should work (bar the sports cat). Will need the BB with the spark plug in of course.

be quite happy with some subdued flames

Dave
