Cornelius's Christmas Message
As you know, I've had bit of a crap year with my Scooby, and have thought many times about selling the car, but throughout the dark times, friends have always been there to help me out of the ****, which to me is the true meaning of "club spirit"
Also, I have been talking to Tiny earlier in the year and even he said he's tiring of running the ESC as it does take up a lot of his and Karen's spare time, but once again, due to the continuing and increasing club spirit, with people all chipping in to organise events, and taking the heavy weight of responsability of Tiny's shoulders, he's rekindled his love of Subaru's, not to mention the fantastic job ABW has done on tranforming his near ordinary(if you could ever call it that
) scoob into an amazing rally replica and helping to change his mind!
I can't not mention the bad times, where unfortunately, members have felt alienated, and worried about posting in case they get slated for having a point of view. The ESC has become enormous now, and there are bound to be times when people's opinions have clashed, but we're all united by one thing - Subaru's, so if we can all respect each other, we can make the Essex Subaru Crew even stronger.
IMO, reading through the various threads - especially those regarding cars that are being modified and ready for the start of the 2007 show season, it's promising to be a very good year.
Let the good times roll, and all the best for the new year

and i was seriously thinking about binning the scoob.......but as Paul has said i have never been part of a club (be it car or any other past time) where i have been and still feel so welcome.
