Default Good Speaker Ring Adaptors

For those who may be interested there, has been mention previously of speaker ring adaptors for Subarus. I know most make their own out of MDF etc, but a few people have used these from the US http://www.iaperformance.com/product...roducts_id/243

They are specifically for the Imprezas offering 6.5" fitment to the front and 5.25" to the rear. They come complete with fixings etc and the door skin does NOT need to be drilled or modified to allow fitment.

If you go on their WEB site, their postage options are very expensive. I have established an alternative method of posting and a note for European customers has now been added to the site.

You can pay by PayPal as an easy method and inc P&P they work out at roughly £40.80.

They are actually looking for a UK distributor of these kits also.

I'm ordering mine later today.

Regards,

Steve

I have to admit, I thought they were a tad pricey too.

I guess some folk just can't be bothered to **** about with MDF and prefer to pay the cash and get a purpose made item.

Now you are making me feel frivolous.

But to make the matter worse, it's not $41 its £41.

Unfortuantly, its the postage thats the problem. Without any kind of postage the item for the 4 rings fixings, door spacers etc is £22. Postage in that item used to be £65.35 making a grand total of £87.35 .

So a new shipping method leading to a better price i thought was worthy of mention. But you're right, this is for those of us that can't be arsed to mess around with MDF getting covered in dust and getting the shape etc just right.

You don't have to get the shape wrong as i have a template for the fronts (don't bother about the rears as they ain't worth it) which can be sent by email to anyone that wants it i thought getting covered in dust was half the fun

Granby - You have a PM for approval.

Whats got you thinking mate, designing a web site or fitting a PC in the car?

I do hope its the later as you won't be dissappointed !!

They are the nuts, for example:
  • Playback of ANY audio source, MP3, WAV, WMA etc.
  • Infinate and expandable storage
  • Full GPS mapping with postcode search.
  • Movie playback from any file type stored on hard-drive.
  • No CD / DVD jumping
  • Photo storage and playback
  • Integrated mobile phone connection via Bluetooth
  • Games etc
  • email / web access (depending on connection criteria)
  • As it is run from Windows XP it will run basically anything you have on your home PC, all via a nice graphical touch-screen interface.
  • Plus many more features.
Convinced yet ??
