Thumbs up Petrol prices!

Just filled up at Tescos in Basildon and was astonished by the prices!

Normal Unleaded was 93.9p per litre
Super Unleaded was 97.9p per litre

Sorry if this is another one of those nothing threads (that gets slated to the ground) but i thought it would be of use to some people!

Oil now $72 per barrel ... £1+ per litre was a result of $78 per barrel so the drop in prices is an expected one

another place to look is www.petrolprices.com before you go to fill up !! like the site says it will Find the lowest UK petrol price in your area!
9,780 petrol stations and 8,000 daily updates well worth a look everytime, before you fill up as it changes hourly!

a 3-4 price difference is absolutely nothing. The petrol companies use the miniscule drops as a psychological pricing model to obtain more market share.

The only time you'd see a real difference to your pocket is if the government were to drop the tax threshold by 15p (from it's present level of 70+pence per litre) however no government conservative or labour will ever do this so best get used to £1.00 per litre because it's here to stay.

on another note a wise man once told me ... "if you worry about the petrol costs you can't afford the car!"

Something that I think is very true
