john, prior to eastgate being built, it was vastly different.

i used to drool over the TCR sets in Zodiacs, as a kid.

then my best mate saw me dad coming out of there just before xmas one day, with the TCR purple set under his arm.....

hmmmmm, no suprises for me that christmas!!!!

Oh dear, I must be getting old, yes i remember it like that, did my apprenticeship with STC in Basildon, started 1982, had to walk through there each day from the train station, before I passed my test and got my first 1275GT

I remember it being like that. much better than it is now. not so many chavs about being one of the best things . the blue and white building behind the car park in the last pic, is what was basildon cinema.

oh and yellowvanman - i used to go to stc every night, on the way home from my grandparents, with my dad. he works for printech circuits in south woodham who did a lot of work for stc. as it was on his way home he drop the boards in to save money on couriers. now i must be getting old if customer service like that was about!!
