Essex Air Ambulance Pics / Review
Well what a great few hours that was up @ The Essex Air Ambulance base in Boreham , I Was joined by , Smoove Mike , NeVeTaS , Kev B , Milamber & Paul .
We was lucky enough that the heli was there @ the base as we arrived @ 3pm , We was greeted by David Crozier ( Director of fund raising for the EAA )
We were able to get all 4 Scoobs in the photo's , These pics will be used by the EAA Fund raising team & Will also be forwarded to the local papers in our area
Satisfaction !!!!
The crew were called to an emergency patient transfer from Colchester general to St Thomas's hospital in central london ( Severe Heart attack patient ) whilst we were there so they had to dash of , With a flying time of approx 25 mins !! By road this would be in excess of 1 - 2 Hours !!!
Costs for the Air ambulance are @ the mo in excess of £105,000 Per month which is funded entirely by public donations & us !!!
To put it into context for you ...
We had just under 300 phones , Worth £3 Ea x 300 = £900.00 , To get the heli in the air , Every trip is in the regoin of £1000.00 + , So to think that that transfer mentioned above whilst we were there - Colchester Gen to St Thomas - We the ESC & EVERYONE ELSE WHO CONTRIBUTED Helped to fund all that flight & Has gone a very long way to helping to save the patients life who was on board .
That makes me so proud to be part of this group & the fund raising that we achieve be it either EAA / Cancer research etc ...
My thanks also go to BONEY EM , Who has done all the liason with the EAA Appeals office on our behalf , Thanks Em
Thanks so much everyone who contributed in any way shape or form by donating phones over the past few months
I Will continue to collect old phones & When we get a nice collection again we shall do it all again .
Please just think though ...
HELP THE EAA TODAY , YOU MAY NEED THEM TOMMOROW
A few pics below from the visit ....
Enjoy
A VERY PROUD Tiny ...
