All bufties that don't mind using a sponge
As above or anyone really. Was in Pitsea Tesco this morning doing the shopping and noticed that they are selling 3 car sponges for 97p, a bargain i thought.
Just thought i'd share that with you as the day looks like it's going to be rather warm. After a quick wash with the new sponges, the new flaps will be going on.
matt.

if you go to the walkway that runs down the length of the store with the isles on either side of it, the sponges are in wire bins. there's 2 offers, the little rectangular ones and the "pond shapped", lol, car ones.
i may pop down for some more later as i'm right next to tesco too. didn't want to look sad and buy a fivers worth in one go.

I use a micro fibre sponge (more gel/foam than sponge!)
Just curious!

A sponge has no pile, therefore the dirt you remove has nowhere to go other than sit on the surface of the sponge.
This dirt/grit gets trapped between the sponge and the clearcoat surface when you drag the sponge across the car.
Hence how cars get micro scratches in them and swirl marks which mate the paint look awful in any kind of light.

I use a sponge for some parts of the car, and my wash mitt for the rest.
Although now, I might have to save all my money for Bedford, driver training and Ring Trips!
