coming from my air conditioning?

I purchased my MY05 WRX last year and whenever the air conditioning is on I get this intermittent noise coming from behind the air conditioning controls. The best I can describe it is like the noise a power steering pump makes, like pressure being released. The noise gets louder when I accelarate. I've had the main dealer (where I purchased the car) look at it as its still under warranty and they said its a standard thing with Scoobs and that their mechanic took out 2 other scoobs and they made the same noise.

Can any one tell me if this is just a Scoob characteristic or could there be a problem with my aircon? Does anyone else with a MY05 scoob (with the climate control silver dials) have this problem?

AFAIK the air con turns its self off when on boost to prevent power sappage.

This may be it, I have never heard it myself though but have heard it mentioned many times.

Doesn't matter, i've never had it happen to me and it's under warranty so if they try to fix it and it happens again, then you'll just have to keep taking it back.
It really winds me up when company's try to wiggle out of stuff like this.

don't get any extra noise from mine when it's running although my car is an MY94.

Not sure but I think its to do with the climate control It does'nt seem to make the same sounds when climate control is off (but aircon is still on).

Any one with a MY05?
