Has anyone got or maybe know someone who has a 386 computer for sale.....this is an urgent request and my customer is willing to pay silly money for it........ pm me if you have.....

ps...not a 486 computer but a 386

386 with or with out maths co processor?

needs to be no more than a 25 sx processor......4 mg of ram and a max 300 mb hdd....ebay is a no go mate........

even if someone had the case board etc and no cpu, thats no problem as i have a few 25sx cpu's

lol...no they produce huge machinery that grinds anything and everything done to 1 microns in size..powder......then it is measured through a lazer anylise machine that runs software to measure the diamater through a computer...because the software was designed in year 1900 lol the software cannot be run on anything faster than a 386 25sx.

thanx nate..........but its urgent and the customer needs it now....i will inform them but was told that the ones from america would take weeks to get here.

how old Sara?????

if it runs dos and not windows operating system then its probably the right one........its very hard to explain as a 386 and a 486 computer look simular.

may well be able to help you on this John ... I have a very old DOS based computer at home. Not sure whether it's a 386 or not but will check tonight when I get in from work

I have loads of old computer stuff in the loft, from when my brother first started sodding around with them, Prob about 10 -12 years ago. Is this the kind of age these would fall under?

I take it they company hasn't got programmers to alter the program and allow for faster processors mate

correct mate...they don't want to spend 40k on updating there software and lazer machine .... they want to stay in the dark ages.
