Hi mate,

Mobil 1 5W-40 is the oil to use but its exclusively available to Subaru dealers and not the public. I think you have to use this though if your cars still under warranty. Mobil 1 Motorsport 15W-50 is a good alternative if you don't have any warranty.

try the opie oils website. they will recommend you an oil. plus if you sign up to the members section you'll get scoobnet discount. they got back to me within a few hours which was the best oil for my classic. they take into account things like mods, mileage and driving style. silkolene pro s 10/50 for me. at £34.99 deliverd for 5 litres they offer some great prices too.

extreme scoobs use silkolene pro-s 10w-50 when they service scoobs, well regarded oil and garage.
They also sell the stuff.
As above opie oils will post you a 5L can as well, 4.5L for the change leaving 1/2L for top-ups-ideal.

just ordered some silkolene pro-s, so should do the oil change sat!

have been using millers 10-40 fully synthetic which was a lot better than the carlube RRR 10-40 which scoobysport used to use
