Christmas Pub Meet: Yay or Nay?
*Firstly- apologies, it's still September, I know- we shouldn't even be talking about this yet but here goes...*
A few people on Saturday were asking if we would be holding some form of Christmas Meet to wrap up 2015. (HA! Christmas/Wrap…oh I’m hilarious!)
We did this a couple of years ago and it turned out to be quite fun, with baubles hanging off spoilers and fairy lights around dash boards. Even Rudolf the Red-Nosed Hawkeye made an appearance-although minus one antler if I recall correctly. (One of the perils of 400+ ‘Reindeer Power’, body parts have a tendency to go missing every now and again.)
This is a poll to see whether anyone would be interested in partaking in such festivities this year; a simple Yes or No answer is all that is required.
The date in mind for this will be Saturday 12th December.
An official thread for this will go up in November should there be enough interest, outlining the specifics as well as do’s and don’ts with regards to decorating cars in accordance with road safety laws.
(Don’t feel you need to subject your car to decoration btw, it’s completely down to individual’s choice. Even a rogue bauble hanging from a rear view mirror still counts, it doesn’t have to be anything crazy)
Maybe you could decorate yourself instead? I stumbled upon this jazzy number and I may have to invest
Naturally, being in the middle of December, there is the weather to take into consideration. I know we are a hardy, determined bunch and with AWD the majority are not put off by poor weather but we need to be realistic. If the weather is a complete write off, it’s belting it down, blowing a horrendous gale or we’re buried under 2 foot of snow, it would be safe to assume it wouldn’t be going ahead. Obviously, sufficient warning would be given to all in attendance 24-48 hours prior to ensure everyone is aware of the situation.
So, what are everyone’s thoughts? Yay or Nay?

Who voted Nay? Probably Frayz and his Mini lol
Very interested in this. It'll give me an excuse to bring the girl out for a winter blast on the way to the meet anyway...
Would it still be held at The Rodney or are we looking for somewhere else?

It would still be held at The Rodney. On the condition that Paul and his family are happy for us to do so.
