Default Remap at TRL DEVELOPMENTS HALIFAX

Hi guys im a newbie to the forum and to the subaru scene. Ive just picked up a 2006 JDM STI and been thinking about getting it mapped from trl as they are not so far from me. Has anyone else on here used them for their remap and what was the experience like? Also who else can you reccomend to remap with RR

Thanks

There was a big hoha going on with them a while back where he fecked a evo engine and denied all knowledge of it, later became apparent that the guy had a video on car and caught them out, driving to shops in customers car, ragging it etc etc and bad map that caused fecked engine.
Can't find the link to this though.

There are loads of tuners you could go to, most of them come to you. Also your in Lancashire so I know of Andrew Carr near Manchester who also comes to you.

And iirc it's still not been sorted for the chap They got caught right out and then tried to say it had nothing to do with them, even tho you could hear him on the phone to motec asking for help as he couldn't set the cam swing on the Evo. No experience personally but after reading that thread I never would tbh.

What sort of prices do they charge? Im presuming they map "on the road" is it not better to map it on dyno??

Anywhere from £250-350 iirc and for a basic map with a few mods road mapping is fine, after all that's where your car is going to be driven, for big power builds I'd get it done on both road and them on dyno for fine tweaks.

Sj you beat me to it, and I belive the thread on mlr has been removed last I heard matt was selling up but obviously that's not happened now (p.s it's not matts anymore he just runs it)

Another vote here for JGM http://www.jollygreenmonster.com/index.htm

He will even come to your house to map your car!!! Had him map my Evo on the M6 many years ago!!!

TRL are shy tot for evo's. if your looking for a subaru mapper local to you, there's Andrew Carr he's on your doorstep. Alternatively you could use one of the mobile mappers such as JGM or Bob Rawle.

I've used both Andrew Carr and Simon Roe (JGM) and have been very pleased with both.
