Ryan.

I knew their reputation wasn't exactly good but to do what Matt did is shocking.
I attended a rolling road day with the lads from YPCC and Matt looked hung over

Bloke builds engine, company fit it and map it, it gets ****ed, mapper blames builder, builder blames mapper, bloke who's car it is can't drive it.
Builder starts thread after apparent Facebook stuff etc, it all goes mental, mapper stays quiet, kicks off a bit more, both sides have loyal followers, mapper ****s up as matey has GPS camera in car recording every time ignition on. Mapper made to look like a **** and a liar, TRL pretty much ruined in one thread

Oh and MLR mods have a wail of a time deleting threads and trying to keep some order

That's a quick summary

A lad took his car in to have an engine (built by someone else with a verified 600bhp) fitted in to his car and have it mapped. TRL damaged the sump and goosed the engine with faulty mapping. They blamed the engine builder and insisted they'd only turned the engine over and let it idle. Unfortunately for them the car had a hidden video recorder which recorded them not only running the engine but taking it for spin with a customer. In the process doing over sixty past a school, the car was given a good ragging.
TRL then commissioned a third party to make a report on the engine damage. The third party should have been neutral but Mr. Ward (author of report) was in cahoots with TRL. The report absolved TRL of any blame and stated the engine was faulty on delivery.
Tim Radley the builder of the engine went public with all the information after TRL/Matt refused to acknowledge any blame. This is a very condensed version I hasten to add.

In a nutshell that's exactly what he does, I'm glad it's come out in open now, about time people knew what matts like.
He wanted to get my car running 360-370 @ 1.6-1.7 bar on a vf34 and said it will be ace etc etc, I told him why am I gonna pay you when I can get my mappers to adjust for less than half the price and I knew in my mind it would probably make it, but it wouldn't be safe.
Never go on his rollers either as he messes with figures to reel you in,

OK, so he got caught out........

Result?
A fine?
Prison?
Lost his business?

Or, as is usual in the UK...none of these?

I've been out in one of his 'customers' cars.....so did a couple of others as the 'customer' worked abroad.
That was also nailed to try and make them look like 'no1' builders and get the £'s from your pocket

Search a lot of forums and matt is always pulled down for being incompetent .

The only praise they get are from there little loyal lapdog customers.

Anyway it's ****ing west Yorkshire ......any one with a brain knows you will be getting your pants pulled down

Addi , I sent you a pm regarding why I have the attitude I have
And now you see another case !!!

Guys I don't want to get into this ( slagging individuals that are still trading )
And I don't want to come across as being an *****
But you guys really make me p**s , are you really so daft to think this is an isolated case , who can remember rc developments ?
I know guys on here that have thrown money at engines that have gone bang ( to be then fobbed off ) by company's still trading
I didn't pop up on this forum from nowhere , I'm not a keyboard warrior , troll or anything along those lines
I have the attitude I have for a reason and as I've told addi in a pm there are very good reasons , and here's a thread with another
I'll let you all carry on parting with you're hard earned , some of you will get you're moneys worth , some will get stung
But this isn't the first avoid thread and it certainly ain't gonna be the last

Maybe you should tell all about your findings tony as you did me in that pm
But one thing we should all bear in mind is there are a hell of a lot of reputable tuners out there aswell as the ****'s

Mate you are right there are good and bad , but I'm not willing to throw £xxx to find out
As for naming and shaming , IMO it's not the thing to do , You know I trust no one ( and that suits me fine )
And for every one person that has had a bad experience there will be ten pop up and say the opposite , so I'd prefer to let folk find out for themselves good or bad

See the thing is, that some of us know who the muppet tuners, builder, mappers, sellers are, and there is a lot on here and elsewhere that kiss their ***** and just suck up to them because the are good at getting people under their wing, too many people are too naive and can't see things logically.
But it's not our business to go around naming them as people will learn for themselfs and they will tarnish themselfs in time. Karma really works.
