Default Actual misfire - P0304 code

Car has developed a misfire this morning (an actual misfire, not just a misfire code) code reader shows as being cylinder 4, reset code and ran up again to confirm and definitely cylinder 4.

I am assuming its going to be the coil pack, but as I am new to imprezas I am open to suggestions before I go to the factors to get one. Do impreza run coil on plug? If so I could swap number 4 cylinder with another to confirm the diagnosis.

Also, which cylinder is deemed to be number 4?

Thanks in advance

ETA: This is a 2002 wrx

i had a similar thing with my 01 wrx had a p0302 code and an actual misfire on cylinder 2 but it turned out to be the electrical connections that are behind the bty that had corroded, try them first just get hold of them and give them a wiggle and see if it works, thats all Andy at richard henry motor sports did to mine and ive never had a problem since

Sussed it! Thank you, all sorted now! As soon as I touched the lead to the coil it popped off. Checked it over put it back on an jobs a good'un! Running sweetly gain, just had to reset the light, quick drive and its good as gold again!

Thank you for the tip!
