Open source remap a PPP'd car ?

Open source remap a PPP'd car ?
Hi all, can a PPP'd ECU be remapped via open source ? Want to get back into Subaru ownership but need to be able to remap it and not sure if PPP means it's no able to take a open source based map.

Thanks for the replies. I should have been more specidic, if I get another Subaru it would be a 2006 onwards car, so can the PPP be flashed over using open source ?
