Won't take Him long to fit the ECU, it's the mapping that takes time, but you're in safe hands. I'm having a remap, just after you by the sounds of it. Good luck hope it goes well for you.

Nice one Craig

You should expect little more power and more torque

You are still running T?

Just odd that two should have the same problem, were they both OEM intakepipes or inferior items off e-bay?

power can be an elusive thing, at least you have the reason for not getting there.
I installed a billeted T and lost 20hp over my non billet H.

Mine was mapped last by Simon & although it was a late night a big thanks to Simon & the guys at RCM for staying so late to get my car done. It was certainly a very hot day, but luckily my wired Lateral pipe didn't let me down.

It should come back as nearly new.
Mine was used when I bought it and started life as a non billet. I understand it made 460hp after it was billeted. The odd thing is it spools up faster than the H.
I don't know the exact spec on my turbo, just that it was one of the early billeted ones they did.
Here are the graphs, the T is the red line, the H is the green line.
The engine was rebuilt in between the two runs but to a slightly higher spec.
Also the intake pipe was upgraded from the OEM one to a Lateral one.
Fuel was the same, V-Power/20%meth

Thanks, was admiring your cherry classic too, very tidy. Mine made 429.9 on V power, my map sensor wouldn't allow any more boost so there is scope for more in the future. On 20% Meth Simon stopped mapping as soon as it hit 450 as I'm still running standard V3 STI valves & there is a chance of them failing above that. I may uprate the valves in the future & go for more power, but I'm happy for now.
