Question Where to get a remap and price ranges?

Hi,

I was wondering the cost of remapping for my Subaru Impreza 1996. I had a new STI redtop engine put it a few months back and found it to be pretty laggy on performing and what place you would sugguest?

Ive emailed Zen Per' but not heard anything back and emailed M-Tec Motorsports..Ive never heard of them though and only found them on Google (and also never heard anything back)

(Youll have to bare with me as I am writing this on behalf of Paul and being 8 and a half months pregnant, my brain cant handle car slang lol!)

Thankyou anyways C:!

Better get it sorted sharpish if you've only a couple of weeks to go

Give us a call tomorrow late afternoon as I'm out in the morning or mail us at sales@mocomracing.com. Whilst a remap will get the best from it there maywell be one or two things that need addressing to optimise the set-up prior to remapping.

Traffic permitting we're only 10 minutes away

What is your number?

I emailed ScoobyClinic and they replied with this
'Hi,
the 1996 imprza turbo cannot be re mapped unless an after-market ecu is fitted, we do the alcatec ecu ar £899.00 + vat fitted and mapped.
an STI engine will not run correctly on your ecu and will get damaged if the STI injectors are still in there as it will bore wash.
Let me know if we can help further
cheers
Kev'

I am not actually sure what ECU unit it is but hopefully am finding out asap because no one said anything about that when the STI en' was put in

scoobyclinic are wrong ... The jecs ecu in yours has the ability to carry an additional board or chip. The esl daughterboard is a great good value option to give live mapping, twin maps and mafless along with factory goodies like code reading, idle, cold start etc. Works out at £550 supplied, fitted and mapped
