Default Mapping questions

Hi All,

I'm currently gathering parts together to upgrade my 2003 WRX PPP. So far I have a TD05 16G, STi Pinks, 255 Walbro Pump and a 3 Port. I just need to get an STi Up pipe and some new plugs. I'm aiming for around 320 Bhp.

I'm assuming I can fit the Turbo, up pipe, injectors and Pump before hand. But i've heard that its best to let the mapper fit the 3 port and the plugs as they need to be gapped?

Also the car has a PPP ECU, is it best to map that or replace it with a stock ECU? Does the PPP ECU already have the Ecutek licence on it?

And finally are there any mappers in the north Hampshire area? I'm based in Hook.

Thanks!

Scott

you need to get the parts fitted as close to the mapper visit as possible,
Duncan is mobile and OS so cheaper then ECUTEK

Pretty sure a TD04 won't do 320Bhp, neither will 410cc injectors?

The standard TD04 peaks at around 280bhp IIRC, best to go with the TD05-16G for 320bhp I reckon, that's what I use and I'm getting the same power figure.

JDM_Stig chucked a sneaky edit in there and has made my post about the TD04 look a bit random.

Nice setup, I used to have a Andy Forrest TD05 16G and got 330bhp with supporting mods.

I have a STi TMIC for sale if you are interested, be a a lot better than the std one!

Duncan will be mapping my car once all my new parts are fitted. Gone for a VF34 this time!
Don't forget the handling and Brakes!!!! ;-)

Scotty - I am based in hampshire dorset border in Bournemouth but travel all over the uk.

Plugs need to be gapped to around 0.7mm and fitted pre mapping session. The 3 port can be fitted beforehand so long as you keep it off boost but you would want to do that with the other mods too anyway If you cant fit the 3 port then not a problem for the chosen mapper to do it (hopefully me )

Anyway my contact details are below. I am away racing this weekend up at snetterton time attack but have time next week for a very local map
