hi guys , how much can be changed on a 05 plate sti before it needs a remap , just brought a standard wide track with the only change being a different dv cheers

 

Why would you want to tbh ?

Just a remap on its own will give another 40bhp, bolting goodies on to it in the hope that they run ok will give you less power than that, higher cost and much higher risk.

Essentially any modification that is improving it at least needs to be checked out and made sure that it isnt detting, running lean etc. It just makes sense to optimise the running of the car for the mods you do rather than risk an engine issue.
