Smile Missfire and cel on

Hi everyone,i have a 2003 wrx 0n 54,00miles which I have owned for a week now.It has been remapped and has a full mongoose exhaust.I have noticed that at about 2000rpm it sounds like there is a slight misfire although it doesn't judder or shake. After giving it a boot down the bypass up to about 80 MPH then just cruise the engine light came on.I plugged it in and there were 3 codes
P0301 CYLINDER 1 MISSFIRE DETECTED
P0303 CYLINDER 3 MISSFIRE DETECTED
P0304 CYLINDER 4 MISSFIRE DETECTED
I cleared them and a week later on the same bypass after another boot up to 80 it came on again with the same codes. Can anyone shed any light on this.thanks julian

hi,possible misfire but might actually be a issue with the neutral posistion switch in gearbox.
(faulty switch)

That`ll be a duff NPS switch throwing the codes, especially at around that speed, I`ve gone through about 3 of them.

another +1 for the neutral position switch, I had the same issue with my 05 wrx, interestingly mine was around the same mileage (56,000) and also would come on at the same speed of 80mph

I got mine for £40 brand new, look for a subaru specialist to go to as they'll give you way better prices
