Default V5 Link - Map change

MY99 Link V5 VF22 FMIC 440cc inj and all the inlet/exhaust mods
I have decided to modify my map , which has served me well over a number of years.
Proposed additional mods fuel pump , 550 cc inj , regulator and fuel ( 98 RON +10 % toulene to achieve circa 102 RON) I don't use the car often , so modifying the fuel is no big issue.
Once all the above installed and a whip down the freeway and logging the parameters from the LINK.
Once I have the logged data at hand ,I am proposing increasing advance and reducing fuel -zone by zone until knock is detected by subsequent runs/logs -then increasing fuel back until knock free. I am leaving boost targets as is - 1.4 bar max
It will be an arduous task , but I have plenty of patience and time.
Any comments appreciated.

Yes, it's not a diesel so don't try tuning knock by adding or subtracting fuel. Tuning your ignition map correctly is the right way to do it.

So I replace OEM OS2 sensor with a wideband (Bosch or similar)- Plug into Link , run in closed loop mode and ecu will retain corrected A/R ratios.
Map is now tuned and I can revert back to open loop .
Is the WB sensor removed and the OEM sensor re installed?
Have I understood this correctly?

No.

The link cant take a wideband input. You have to tune it yourself.

So the link doesn't support wideband!
Thanks for your help.

no but no ecu will safely do what you are asking.

its needs setting up with a laptop monitoring wideband readings and det with detcans.

It needs mapping.
