what would you recommend doing to improve performance on this car? as everyone keeps telling me not worth it... and yet the 2.0l is a stronger engine then the 2.5l? i dont want to just "stick a turbo" on it as thats a lot of work and would never get insured yet. I know to improve air filter, de cat exchaust systems, look at improved plugs.. but is that all you can really do on a 2.0l impreza?

thers not alot you can do im afraid, the engine is designed for use with a turbo and thats where its power comes from.
best bet save your money and then when you can afford it get an sti or a wrx
the 2.5 is only weaker compared to the 2.0 because the rods and pistons in it are pretty **** as standard. Then you start to get into the relms of closed deck blocks.

its not an uncommon question, something you could do is do mods that you can transfer over if you got one. aka wheels, visual mods etc
